After years of kinda, sorta thinking about going to Costa Rica, the trip is booked! It had always seemed too complicated, with sprawling itineraries inevitably causing an exhausting vacation. The compromise was to plan within a limited section of the country, leaving the rest as another vacation opportunity.
This first time around, we’ll be visiting La Fortuna/Arenal Volcano area, Monteverde Cloud Forest and then over to the coast for a few nights in Nosara. It should give us a nice mix of adventure and relaxation. Our flights and lodging are booked and we’re now focusing on the what to dos, including planning our hikes. Suggestions welcomed!
I’m also dusting off the ol’ Nikon DSLR to see what wildlife and scenery I can capture. I haven’t packed that camera in many years!
